THE SCIENCE

Built on a decade of neuroscience research

EyeQuant was born at CalTech and the University of Osnabrück in Germany. The team that built it was awarded PhDs for their work because the models represented new discoveries in how the human visual system processes information.

How it works: Seven distinct neural models simulate real-world eye-tracking patterns. They were trained on data from over 20,000 experiments involving hundreds of participants, totaling 1.6 million individual data points. The result is over 90% accuracy in predicting where people will look without requiring any actual test participants.
